V8 M5 is back. Hell yeah. I always thought that the E60 was a great car, but too funky. But I may be partial to my E39. A 7k rpm V8 sounds so unique.

@Cactaceae33 Yah, love them Merc V8's, also most American V8's sound insanely good, any LS engine from Chevy, or even the older LT1's, etc. Hell, any American V8 without a ton of emission restrictions sounds good.

Also, the Lexus 1UZ-FE 4.0L quadcam with the mufflers removed sounds like a Japanese Nascar, so bad ass.

i wish they would make all m cars naturally aspirated again its not impossible for them to get the same hp with no turbo . the m3 an inline six m5 a v8 a 1m a inline four and m6 have the m5s v8 but tuned up a little

That doesn't sound too great for a V8. They should have made it more beastly like the Merc C63's V8. Now that is a sweet ass V8 !

v8 or v10... well it depends on personal taste, but anybody who says that a v8 or a v10 is shit obvioulsy dont know shit about cars... both m5 engines where great and they will always be great.
