PS5 3D Audio for TV update, is it good? | Testing and Review

PS5 now supports 3D Audio for TV output. Is the audio better on 3d audio than a normal output? I've tested a couple of games here and let's see which one is better, 3d audio on, or off.

Do you use PS5 #d Audio for TV yourselves? What are your thoughts for it?

the 3d audio is weird on my speakers it sounds old if i turn on the 3d audio and if i disable it sounds better lol idk it’s weird…and yes the environmental sound is weird

Ps5 on Sony xh90 using tv speakers playing spiderman ultimate edition with 3d audio which needs linear pcm on had no music at a rooftop party so changed it in ps5 settings to Dolby which turns 3d audio off the music at party came on. So point is which is better pcm v Dolby bitstream.

Mine sounds good with soundbar and woofer. Vizio brand hooked up on HDMI arc. Sony tv x90h

Wooow, your setup is so similar to mine, i also have a big tv, and the same PlayStation lamp, and i also have led lights anywhere! And i also have a ps5!

Ik this is 3 months old I have a element 1080p thats roughly 36inches with it's original sound board BUT I have dell towers (I don't know the exact model number) wired directly to the TV's motherboard and there are pointed out/wide to fit my current set up. Will this be fine for me?

I agree that 3d audio for tv speakers is a cool concept, however the amount of audio degradation where it sounds muffled, tinny is too much.

Edit: However personally I don't like too much bass for games, its fun for movies however when it comes to games i found deep rumbles from bass is distracting and probably annoying since games have repetitive sounds. But thats just for me, it's no problem if others likes bass for games.

I have a good quality large LG TV but when I play 3D audio through it, it sounds thin, the voices are muffled amd its just not good sounding. Even when I do the set up for room. Yet it sounds amazing the minute I switch it off. Anyone any idea why?

So what about my own tv sound? Mine is on cinema and with 3d audio is not good, i have changed to from cinema to game and still not worked.... I think dolby is better?
