Good video. I have a 2024 X7 with iDrive 8.5. I'd never understand why pre-conditioning is done at the same temp and speed it was when you left the car even if there's a huge gap between that set temp and actual interior temp.

European customers of BMW's may find this option removed or unable to turn-on, due to EU Law on Emissions. Other Countries also have Safety Laws, where it is illegal for a vehicles engine to be running, unless a human is inside and in control of the vehicle.

Hello. I have purchased the “remote engine start” like you recommended. Thank you very much-I didn’t know I could do that. Everything works fine except off: I like to put my car into “park” when I leave it. When I start the car remotely, come to the car to a running car and get in, the “park” bottom does not come off and the gear stick doesn’t work. To drive the car I have to stop the engine and restart it again. What would you recommend to go around that problem? Thank you.
