2200 for LA with the utilities included, access to a gym, the amazing view and not having to do property maintenance isn’t all that bad. Yes it is smaller square footage wise, but still not bad. For my house which I own, and have no house payment because it’s paid off, I pay close to 1000 alone for utilities and homeowners insurance. I live in Pa, btw.. And I have property taxes of around 1800 per year, a rather large property to maintain, and because my house is 125 years old, stuff is always breaking and needing fixed and or replaced. And that 1000 is not including cell phone service for 4 people, car, health and life insurance, groceries, etc..
So when you look at it that way, 2200 sounds like a lot, but it’s not really. The only disadvantage I’ve ever considered with renting is you don’t end up with anything in the end. Like that’s over 25, 000$ you pay in a year.

Yeah no, someone broke definitely won't look at the view or the presence of a gym when looking for an appartment, definitely won't go on cafes and restaurants on a regular basis and most definitely won't care about what food they buy and will just go for the cheepest knock offs. Or maybe the definition of "broke" isn't the same over there 😭

I’m trying to start adulting and getting into the world slowly but idk yo if I’ll ever be able to on my own 🤕😵‍💫😔 I need things like this. Hi there. What do people buy other than basic foodstuffs such as eggs, greens, chicken etc? Is it ready made meals? Breakfast cereals?
In my experience, I've eaten ready made meals from time to time like fresh soup or curry, but they seem nutritious and not over processed, although definitely cost more than cooking for yourself.
