Club Foot baby to baseball athlete

"Hello Dr. Bulkeley,

I am sure you would never remember us but my son was one of your earlier patients in your career born with club feet.  I remember the day I sat in your office and you bluntly gave me the facts about what my precious 4 day old baby was going to go through.  I appreciated a doctor who was honest and didn’t sugar coat the situation and let me sit there and cry.  You basically told me to woman up and do everything you told me to do and that you would do everything you could do to give Eli the best possible outcome.

He turns 10 in the morning and he has had the best life so far and we have you to thank for that.  He is the biggest baseball loving child you will ever meet and puts more effort and heart into that game than I have ever seen a child do.  None of this would have been possible for him if you hadn’t have put so much effort into him and pushing me as the mother to never give up and power through even though some of the moments were hard to deal with.

I hope your practice is as successful as I imagine it is and maybe one day you will have another new mom sitting in front of you crying and you can share Eli’s story to give them hope for their babies future.  I can promise you that if my boy makes it big one day he will come to personally thank you for what you did for him.
