Context:The cat was opening the other doors for the worm to come out and it turned souta(character and the person suzume likes )into the next keystone, before it turned him into the keystone suzume accidentally removed for its place so the problem started from her and ended with the cats (2 cats daijin and sadaijin both are the previous keystones).

Daijin was so misunderstood, all he wanted was to be with suzume, he didnt understand what he was doing was wrong, he is so childish and i live for him.

The thing about Daijin is, he's not evil, just a young childish entity, he kinda deserved what she told him but he's also just a kid like spirit that wanted to spend time with suzume, he didn't think about the harm of his actions till later on, and when he did he made the right choice.

I really love daijin, my favorite cat character, but God, he was a pain in the @ss lol, I understand suzume's anger and frustration.



FOR THOSE WONDERING WHAT DAIJIN DID:
ok so the world has these mystical doors that seal away a destructive force that can trigger massive earthquakes. Entities known as keystones gaurd the doors and ensures the entity is contained.

Suzume accidentally woke daijin (one of two known keystones) and he grew to like suzume. He didn't want to be a keystone anymore so he passed that role over to a guy suzume met (I'll call him doorkeeper) by turning him into a wooden chair. Doorkeeper gets pissed and chases him across Japan while daijin runs off. He practically makes them go miles away from their initial destination to chase this cat and because daijin is missing, more doors keep appearing and opening up. Doorkeeper initially came to find the doors and lock them for good but he's a chair so Suzume does it instead. Doorkeeper also starts slowly becoming inanimate the longer he stays as a chair so suzume has to find daijin quickly.

Unfortunately on one of their close calls with the doors, doorkeeper decides to accept the role as a keystone to protect Japan and disappears into the world within the doors, and Daijin trotted up to suzume and was like "now we can be friends and I can stay with suzume because she loves me and sh1t" or smth, but she yells at him, that's why Daijin shrunk up when he realized suzume didn't like him.

Bro was just a little gremlin on Crack all through, laughing at the chaos he unleashed and forcing doorkeeper into a role he didn't want without a care in the world.

(OK ok he lead them to the doors I get it, bro's still a menace to society-)

The thing about daijin is that he isn’t evil, he’s just childish and it’s really sad that he’s portrayed as the villain he just wants to be loved

The fact that when we first see them by the window their really shrivelled/ skinny because no one cares about him enough to help and that when Suzume drops him again and says “Go away” he shrivelled back up because now alone knows their alone again 😭😭
