Thank you for the lecture. I noticed a minor inaccuracy at 3:47 : In NCP and ECP, we have 7 and 6 OFDM symbols per slot, respectively. You might have been referring to a subframe.

Question can asked in an interview:
Why there're only 6 bits MSB in MIB for SFN or Why split of 6 bits and 4 bits?
In 4G, it is 8 bit and 2 bit split?

Great Video Rahim. I am sure it takes huge time to create such good content.

One query, assuming 5 widebeams in one 5G mmwave RAN, UE performs RACH on SSB index 4(assume), then which all parameters(e.g. slot, SFN, frequency PRBs etc.) are considered by RAN to conclude on which beam UE is performing RACH. Actually here I want to understand in details about SSB index and its association with RACH occasion. Its interesting how RAN knows from which beam UE is performing RACH.

Is SFN and Slot plays important role for concluding the best widebeam UE is attempting from? Thanks !!

✅ To transmit 64 SSBs using SSB Pattern F (Case F, SCS-480 KHz, FR2-2, n263), it takes approximately 1ms, whereas with SSB Pattern G (Case G, SCS-960 KHz, FR2-2, n263), this duration is less than 0.5 ms.
