My garden is hurting and the only thing that can help it is a good dose of CaliKim29. :) Had to put that in there. Now here's the bonus. You know your stuff in gardening and vegetable production. :)

Kim, a good way to get the longer pole in is to make a "pilot" hole by driving the rebar in a foot or so, then pull it out and your longer pole should fit right in

Love your videos, they are super helpful with excellent advice and tips and your gardens are beautiful. I'm growing a few different tomato varieties hoping that at least one is successful. I use the green stakes and tie with this green plant twist tie material which is gentle on the plant but I really like the plastic tape you demonstrated with so will look for that. In the past I've used strips of old pantyhose which works well also. Thanks for all your great videos, I always look forward to the next one 🌿😄

Great job! I use the same wooden stakes you had. The green poles work just as well. I will allow 1-2 suckers to grow so my plant has either 2 or 3 growing sections.

Nicely done Kim!! Luckily for me my grills automatically support all of my plants once they get bigger. I just tie twines from the "roof" of the grills to the branches of the tomato vines for additional leverage once they creep out of my grills to catch additional sunlight.

I always pruned the suckers from my tomatoes and discarded them. My father in law corrected me. As soon as he cuts them, he sticks them into another prepared container and they root! Where he starts out with about 4 plants he ends up more than double. Since we also have very late frosts the later plants produce fruit later than the early plants that seem to die out late summer.

We had to do that recently too.  The tomato grew too big for the cage and it all fell over!  I used rebar.  Thanks for sharing.

I use the same method, but need to stick to some of your tips, thanks!

The Kellogg's Breakfast tomato looks so pretty climbing your cattle panel trellis. I have never seen the green poles before, will have to check them out.

Just found your channel. Great stuff, love watching you and the channel is great too. I have tried to plant tomatoes from time to time and I have not had much success, but I'm learning. Next season I plan to take some of your teachings and put them to use. But first step is to find a good spot. Would you suggest morning sun or afternoon (intense) sun...or some shade

Great video. I'm learning to stake tomatoes but I already know how to build fence so I'm going to recommend anyone who has many tomato stakes to drive in the ground invest $25 in a metal fence post driver from any farm supply store and many hardware stores.

We/I don't steak in AZ.  The mass of a Tomato bush is up to 12 degrees cooler. My pollen will survive all summer. I cut them back in late Sept, and they revive and produce till frost. The down side is "huntin" for the Maters..  I plant 4 plants and allow for a Mound.
