Pope Benedict lifted the excommunication. Pope Francis gave SSPX permission to absolve sins in the sacrament of confession. This special permission was extended beyond the year of mercy indefinately. He also gave permission for SSPX priests to perform marriages as long as a diocesan priest is present. So, how is SSPX in schism if the Pope himself is giving them permission to perform certain sacraments? I ask respectfully...not sarcastically.

I left the Novus Ordo for the TLM 7 years ago. I literally had to drag husband n 4 children to attend the TLM (FSSP) Then we moved to another country where mass was available at SSPX while all churches were closed due to the pandemic. After 2 years of SSPX, my children have learnt to appreciate the Latin liturgy that they don’t want to attend the Novus Ordo
We are back home now in Germany and returned to our FSSP community- only because they are close by home.
I am so grateful and thankful to the SSPX!
They certainly need to take responsibility- am not denying that!!!

Notice how Voris cobbles schism, a beautiful church constructed by donations, the WHOLE of SSPX, other podcasters, etc WITH the horrible case of abuse in France. He uses a horrific case to forward his position against the whole of the SSPX and anyone else that doesn’t use their podcast exactly the way he wants.
Much good has come from the SSPX mission, FSSP mission, and diocesan missions who give their time and treasure as well. And even Voris when he’s not pulling this kind of obvious bias. I used to defend Voris but his real axe is against the SSPX unfortunately.
We can also very much acknowledge the horrible acts committed by clergy under Popes in the last 50 years and condemn those acts. So much damage was done to be sure. And many other issues. Why not discuss this??
But Notice the use of schism before SSPX in his utterances. While today there are healthy disputes that that SSPX is not the schismatic. But that’s always been Voris virus even in the face of the more recent developments in past few years by Benedict who lifted all excommunication of SSPX bishops and Francis giving all SSPX priests faculty to hear confession and witness matrimony. Both Bishop Schneider and Archbishop Vigano confirm this.
I would think that Voris would have focused on these poor victims and the abuser priest. And the remedies.
I think that yes superiors in any religious community should take responsibility for their priests criminal actions. Absolutely 💯
However using this for your opinion about who’s schismatic today in 2023 not 1988 is objectionable and the nameless podcasters you indict. It appears that the virus of superiority and bias has weakened the Voris message.

Obviously the tlm or the moral philosophy of traditionalists like the sspx doesn't lead to abuse. The church at large is exactly the same. One thing is for sure though, as the church slides further from tradition and into the mud of the relativist, pagan, modernist theoligy of the Pope, abuse will become more and more normal.

One man, justly on trial, allows you to hammer on this group with no let up.
No one else in the Catholic church is guilty of this, and
more? There are many, many, many.
But for reasons I do not understand you have singled them out.
Your vehemence is palpable. I cannot understand it.
I support (financially and spiritually) your
work and your aims. But I am at a loss as to why the SSPX is so much more on your radar than numerous others, starting at the top, in Rome.

You mentioned the 42 million new church just dedicated to Our Lady. The people in that area have been saving and donating for almost a half century for that to be erected. Do your homework.

As for being in schism, however it is spelled, you are dead wrong.
Maybe you should have a chat with Kennedy Hall, for one among many, who disagree with you. That group would include the current occupier of Peter's chair for what that is worth.

I have to travel for an hour one way on Sunday to attend a proper Mass. Our benevolent bishop makes sure all who wish to attend this Mass have to make great effort to do so. May God forgive him, as I have difficulty doing so. I am 77 years old and this is becoming difficult to do alone. There is a sedevacant church 15 minutes from me and I would rather go there, with no Communion than attend the n o just as far away. I cannot tolerate the protestant flavour that runs all through the n o. As you can tell, I was around before the destruction began.

During winter I have to do with on line Mass. No communion for me and this is such a poor substitute for the real thing. I live in the London diocese in Ontario. I would give my eye teeth, yes, I still have them, to have an SSPX or any of the other "trad" Mass sayers in close proximity.

So please, stop with the obvious hatred you express OR, let someone without such animosity do the reporting on them.
