Harvey Mansfield at 90: A Conference on Major Themes of His Work | EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

During Harvey Mansfield's 60 years as a professor of government at Harvard University, he made fundamental contributions to our understanding of thinkers including Niccolò Machiavelli and Alexis de Tocqueville and on subjects such as political parties, liberalism, conservatism, and American constitutionalism.

In a tribute to Professor Mansfield's contributions, a group of political philosophers recently convened to discuss not only his scholarship but a wide range of topics in politics and political philosophy that were central to his work: Machiavelli and modernity, Tocqueville and America, and the gender-neutral society.
