Dream. Search. Drive.

In all our years in this industry, we’ve never seen a new vehicle launch in South Africa create a stir quite like the Bajaj Qute. Social media literally exploded with comments and videos about the little Indian “car”, and so we got hold of one as quick as we could to bring you this review.

The Bajaj Qute is on sale in South Africa for R75,000 and comes standard with a 2 year/20 000km warranty. There is no service plan included or even available as an optional extra. You can buy or repair your Bajaj Qute at one of three dealers in Johannesburg, one in Pretoria, one in Cape Town and soon there will be one each in Durban and Ggeberha (Port Elizabeth).

In this video, Ciro De Siena takes you on a detailed tour of the car, and takes it for a spin around the Killarney Racetrack to test its dynamic abilities in a safe environment.

Here is everything you want or need to know about the Bajaj Qute in South Africa.

This car is made for last mile connectivity in developing nations.
Much safer than a two wheeler or a three wheeler. Please don't compare it with a Car.
Its not a car, it's a Quadricycle !!

Put a roll cage, upgrade brakes and tyres and put a used hayabusa motor in it....

It's actually a safer version of TUK-TUK.

Good, my Bajaj Chetak electric vehicle also has a top speed of 70kmph!!.. believe it or not, this is THE first YouTube channel to actually test the bajaj qute in such an environment with such a detailed review and I am thrilled with this!!.. first few scenes and am loving this video already!!!. Great job!!!..

I agree with the assessment that the motor IS capable of handling more speeds but is limited to 70kmph.. same thing with the Bajaj Chetak electric vehicle..

The ideal ride in this vehicle would be a home-office drive, and maybe a drive to the local neighbourhood store… a city runabout I must say..

Let's not dismiss the fact that it comes with it's own fire extinguisher. That's something to think about.

I had so much curiosity about this, watched tons of reviews of the Qute but only this one answered my questions. Well done

It was developed as an alternative to three wheeler RichShaw in India. Its primary objective is not to be a car but to be a four wheeler RickShaw. If you view it as a car, you are committing a mistake.

I think it is perfect for jam packed streets and bumper to bumper traffic. The review should be on a busy street not a race course.

Your lungs are the airbags, with your arms and legs being the crumple zones 😭😂

I think this is more of an Ubereats/Takealot vehicle, safer than a scooter I guess
