The Big Muff arrived today and what can I say? Oh boy, that's a Muff, haha! :D

Every other pedal I own looks so tiny compared to the Muff! And the sound is huge too! Can't wait to try all the Chili-Peppers-stuff with that pedal!

Those comparisons are really awesome and interesting because now all of us who try to understand how John is playing at certain point, when you need a fuzzier tone, or a brighter tone for interpreting and re enact solos we can express our own self.
By using those to pedals who are at this point some masterpieces for a Frusciante tone approach.
Vigi I wanna thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing with us ( but also with me ) your passion because it's mine too and it gets bigger and bigger in my daily life.
I'm watching your video right now and with my classic vibe 60's Strat and playing some Frusciante riffs and solos.
You are one who really inspire me because you have that approach of learnkin how to understand and feel the tone and not just simply copy what john has on his pedal board.

Is it weird that the big muff sounds better to me in almost every solo? I never had a fuzzbox before and im so excited of having a chance to win one. John Frusciante is a really talented guitarist and one of the reasons why i started playing in the first place. Keep on playing every1 especially during corona!

Yesterday i bought an ds-2 to rock all the frusciante solos, and after watching this video i realized that i want that big muff too. I left only 4 cents in my bank account, so it would be great to get it from you guys. Really nice frusciante tone video. Keep up!

I think one of the most important things to consider is the type of big muff. I used to have one of those used in the video (US reissue) and eventually bought a Ram's Head clone. Those two are basically different pedals. Frusciante have used several types of big muffs, and personally I find the US reissue to be the hardest to make good sounds from. It easily becomes too smooth and "buzzy" at the same time. If you use a US reissue I think it's very important to stack it with some other gain pedal or amp gain.

I've been listening to RHCP since i was 6 (I'm 17 now), and john inspired me to first pick up the guitar. i don't have any pedals right now and would love to have a pedal that john used. i would play it live and record some tunes with it. (I'm currently in a band). it would be a great start to my pedal and i got a 59 reissue strat that will go perfect with the pedals for the "john" sound. Thanks for doing the giveaway man!

wow that was an insightful comparison, great content as always vigi! i would like to win the big muff because i am having lately some technical issues with my own big muff (it sometimes wont turn on reliable anymore, and then just mutes the signal 😕)...soo a new big muff as a replacement would come in really handy tbh. because one thing i know for sure, longterm i could definitely not do without a big muff anymore, it has become quite essential for me...especially for leads i wouldnt want to miss it.
