You can also get a helper to rock the steering wheel back and forth while you look at it and see if there is any play in any of the things that you mentioned 👍🏻

Thank you for posting this video. My 90 mustang was sitting in a garage for 8 years before I got it (previous owner didn’t tell me it had been sitting so long). Every time I take it out for a drive something breaks down on it. First it was the fuel system then the brake booster then the transmission. Now the front brakes are locking up so I changed the rotors calipers n pads (couldn’t get the brake hoses off) and also finding that I either have a bad ball joint or a bad Control arm ☹️

Back in 1999, my first fox was an '88 GT hatch that was driven plenty in Wisconsin winters and had the rust to show for it. The driver's side lower ball joint was dry and moaned a bit when I jounced the suspension. I planned to sell the car in the fall so I ignored it. One day while cruising slow, it broke, dropping the control arm onto the inside of my wheel. Had to have the car towed. The week before I drove the car beyond 100mph on a back road and had to swerve around a deer. Lucky lesson I learned at 19 years old.

I tried installing a short throw shifter but when I took my old shifter off my transmission was shifted to the right so I couldn't get the 2 bolts I checked under to see if my transmission mount was rotten but I wasn't any suggestion on how to move it back ?

How do you afford those monster lip heaters? $40 a tin is getting ridiculous.

Nice video! I’d be curious to see something about renewing the steering column rag joint or any poly bush + roll bar upgrades? I’m looking to make my fox very not handle like a shopping trolly with donuts for wheels…
