In this video we cover one of the most important automotive stories of 2024, Jaguar's relaunch and why to some it may seem like garbage a brand "going woke and going broke" but others see this differently, i'm here to offer a balanced opinion based on the facts. I offer an enthusiasts perspective on why this may or may not turn out terrible, resulting in a great car company ruined or how it may turn out great.

What is your opinion? is Jaguar a once proud British brand dead? Or is this just a lot of noise.

I was unfortunately not able to gain permission to use the spy shots, these are copyright images and not promotional material.

Note: this is not political or a social commentary, this is about cars, it isn't about people, it is about cars and a british brand.

The worst rebranding ever. What a joke

Jaguar is now being pitched to a market segment that does not like cars and the majority of which do not have a licence or any sense of style for that matter. I am bewildered.

> tagline says "copy nothing"
> the new logo looks like chinese cheap electronics brand logo that breaks after 6 months.

I think they are idiots, the brand is not the issue and still carry’s brilliant brand reputation. All they need to do is to start making some half decent reliable cars.

Thankfully there are plenty of old 'proper' Jaguars for us to enjoy...It's a no from me

this ad just doubled the price of a proper restored JAGUAR, MADE BY JAGUAR

Jaguar was putting on your leathers or cat suit. Now it is a rainbow frock. Jaguar was sex on wheels…now it is a warm glass of milk. Not for me. Give me Emma Peel in leather….

The second I saw the Alphabet Squad show up, I knew they were in the proverbial. This is tragic to see.

As a Jaguar owner I find the new Jaguar badge completely stupid, a pathetic joke, RIP Jaguar

Not Jaguar, an Indian company called Tata

This teletubbies commercial will sink this company. I own an electric jaguar but now I wish I didn’t. Now it will go down in value faster than before. Already went from $80, 000 to $29, 000. Now after this commercial…

Classic jags are big saloons or sports cars, that’s what the public want not some electric rubbish

"When you think of Jaguar, you think of the XJR." Yes. Yes, I absolutely do. How I miss it, too!

Jaguar decided to go full woke just as woke became passe'.
From a marketing perspective, Jaguar couldn't pour water out of a boot if the instructions were on the heel.

Jaguar decided that it was selling 'too many cars'. They came up with a plan to 'solve' this problem. The solution is too eliminate all Jaguar sales. This ad is a key part of that plan.

They're going to sell rebranded chinese EVs under this terrible new branding

The commercial is weird and confusing, A thumbs down from me but to make a proper decision about the future of Jaguar is to wait to see what the new models look like. Mini, Fiat 500 and the revamp Beetle from VW took inspiration from their roots and it paid off with great sales figures, If Jaguar go in a totally different direction without a nod to their heritage i don't think it will work, I know MG's now are totally different but Jaguar are in in that same market, They are far more refined a brand. This is a risk by Jaguar so let's see their new models and judge them. You're right Tom, This is either genius or fatal for them.

There's a lot of hate here Tom, but your video was more balanced. I think we'd all love to see Jaguar re-emerge as something to be proud of again. I, for one, wish them luck!
