Purifying a defective protein associated with childhood renal failure

Annie purifies a recombinant mutant protein from a bacterial expression system. Research in this group investigates the structure and binding of mutant proteins associated with the life threatening disease Atypical Haemolytic Uremic Syndrome, which are known to cause disruption of the complement system.
