1 mihrimah is not the richest sultana 😂, that's just what the fans say.
However she's ONE of the richest DYNASTY sultanas (alongside fatma, ayse sultan, daughters of kosem). How can you really think mihrimah's wealth was bigger then kosem of safiye who got a way bigger daily salary + managed the imperial treasury for decades + held many properties and land and owned many gemstones and jewelries? AND they were valide sultanas which meant they were way more important then dynasty sultanas, the only wealth related achievement that mihrimah had is that she OFFERED her father to FINANCE the construction of 400 ships from her own pocket in a campaign against Malta (it was just a suggestion but it also indicate she had the money or it),
Also mihrimah's daily salary peaked at just 600 aspers per day while nurbanu at the same time had a salary of 1400 as haseki and 2000 as valide. So by doing basic math even nurbanu was richer

3 you don't seem to understand the word confiscate. It took the empire 60 years to EMPTY kosem's treasury because that's how big it was.
Her "sudden" passing have nothing to do with it.
After safiye's passed away, lots of her wealth went to her children & other inheritors and the rest was fastly confiscated because it wasn't much.


4 kosem is the richest. This is literally not an opinion, this is a fact and this is the word of historians and the evidence is literally there.
And it's embarrassing to argue with that.

You can just google search (don't go to sites made by fans or uneducated people, try to check sites with listed word of a historian.


According to the Kösem Sultan's muhallefât record. Which is The Ottoman legal system required that the distribution of the deceased's belongings and goods be documented.
- Kösem accumulated a massive fortune through Iltizām (tax farming), owning and leasing commercial buildings, and investing extensively in diverse economic activities. In his memoirs, Karaçelebizade Abdülaziz Efendi, a prominent member of the ulama, described a meeting of the imperial council at which the subject of crown lands held by royal women was being discussed. When it was reported that Kösem held lands whose annual income was three hundred thousand kuruş, Karaçelebizade protested, "A valide with so much land is unheard of!" He also contended that those who opposed him only did so out of enmity toward him or because they were recipients of the valide sultan's largesse.
Upon her passing away in 1651, her chambers were looted, and it was reported that twenty boxes loaded with gold coins were discovered in the Büyük Valide Han. In 1664, the profit on Kösem's cash investments accounted for nearly two-thirds of the revenue of the endowment established for Safiye Sultan's Karamanlu mosque. In fact, her riches and business transactions were so broad that her agents also became very wealthy and enjoyed popular esteem. When recording the death of Kösem in his history, Naima commented of her steward: "The afore-mentioned Behram Kethiida enjoyed great prestige and distinction and wealth. As the manager of all the affairs of the valide sultan and the pious institutions she had established, and as an extremely trustworthy man, he acquired a great deal of wealth and property. But his children and his grandchildren did not maintain the high stature he had enjoyed, and his wealth and property were squandered." Her wealth was so vast and spread across so many different enterprises that, according to Naima, it took fifty years for the state treasury to confiscate it all.
