Session 2: Skill Development With XR Tech

Показать описание
As emerging technologies such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) continue to develop rapidly, we must ensure that all learners and workers have access to benefit from them. Jobs and careers of the future will require new skills and new kinds of digital literacy, and these technologies are making training possible in advanced ways.
Join Jobs for the Future (JFF) for two candid discussions with education and workforce leaders from four diverse regions across the United States on the potential of AR and VR to provide critical skills training—both before and on the job. JFF recently partnered with 21 small businesses and eight community colleges to implement AR and VR, and we saw gains for workers, businesses, and students alike.
These sessions are for anyone curious about the power of AR and VR for skills development—one of many applications—as well as the challenges for scaling its benefits for all. You’ll hear insights from small business and community college leaders, including differences in experiences on the regional and industry levels to consider when implementing emerging technology.
Session 2 on May 23 will feature:
• Sandra Brown, Apprenticeship Coordinator, Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College
• Matt Hansen, Executive Director, Homecare and Hospice Association of Utah
