We all know that Rollercoasters are amazing rides, but did you know that there's also some really great thrill rides? In this video we talk about the strongest one.

Most underrated ride: Miniature Railway because it's neat when it goes "choo choo".

"Hey, you want to go to Six Flags that has a ton of awesome coasters?"
"Nah, I want to go to that one park with 30 launched free falls"

"It's a great addition to any park and you can never go wrong with it"
*builds only the base and sets launch speed to maximum*

I haven’t played this game in years but I smile like a kid every time I see you upload a new video. Thank you so much Marcel

This video was overpowering. Thrilling even. Quite a ride.

You can also build 2 cinema-balls next to it. And then choose a colour of your choice. And place a sprinkler on top.

There's something so comforting about the way Marcel says "Hello, everyone, and welcome to another video." I think I'm gonna make it my waking up alarm.

Moreso than all of the things you covered is that for some reason it seems to be the only ride that never declines in popularity. It will say it has xyz popularity in the screen, but often times (even before Open and refurbishing) this will be the first ride I make and I'll forget about it until the end of the scenario, only to notice that every other early ride I build right after the LFFall has empty lines with "not paying that much" thoughts while the Freefall itself still has some if not a full line, sometimes at the original opening price I set. Amazing, indeed!

One further bonus: The Launched Freefall is almost always available at the start of a scenario rather than having to be researched, meaning you can get a great early game boost from them without needing to research.
The only downside I can think of is that this is the only non-coaster type I can think of that the player can actively sabotage, either accidentally or otherwise. Even with the highest possible tower, jacking the launch speed up to its highest value will send the car off the top and all aboard will be killed. It's not a huge problem as you can easily remember to be careful with the launch speed, but it has caught me out more than once.
Now I'd like to request a look at the opposite end of the scale: The Twister/Scrambler, The Most Underpowered, arguably useless Thrill Ride. Almost always included at the start of scenarios but with lower guest popularity than a Merry-Go-Round.

I think the most overpowered ride is the maze as you can build 1 tile maze that cost 27 dollars and get 40 soft guest cap.

Great video again! Your videos always let met start-up RCT2 right after! Always trying out your tricks and tips!

another trick:
build the base as far down as you can (typically -6) that way it will stick out less and also get an excitement bonus
(plus another bonus if you build path around it at gound level (or at any level for that matter))

Finally people understand that the Launched Freefall is the best thrill ride and not the Go Karts.

You forgot the best part: Making a tiny stump and blasting your guests off the end.

Okay, there's something immensely satisfying and hypnotic about just watching those 10 colorful launched freefalls randomly go up and down over and over.

Funny, just recently I decided to investigate the launched freefall to learn about its stats. Since there's only so many ways you can build a launched freefall (minus synchronisation/scenery/etc), the amount of stat combinations a launched freefall can have is only around 90. I did compile a full table of Launched Mode, including the maximum possible ride ticket price you could charge for each set of stats, but for Downward Launch I only compiled "interesting points", such as the 10 intensity tipping point and the maximum possible downward launch (which is an insane 57 tiles above base, giving ~25 intensity and nausea. probably trivializes park value scenarios lol)

The most underrated ride is the Mini Suspended Coaster.

OK, get your pitchforks back in the shack, I get you. I also did not like the Mini Suspended Coaster as a child. But that thing has grown onto me over the years. This channel is focused on Power Gaming and it probably won't work in that regard - but for fun play, this coaster got 2 things going for it.
1) It's cheap. If I start a park with not much money and hills somewhere, I immediatly build this coaster. Very quick way to get money rolling.
2) It's extremely fun to build these things. Not as a compact design, those suck. You have to build them into your terrain. Take the Mini Suspended Coaster from "Katie's Dreamland" as a blueprint, only make it bigger.
If you use your terrain correctly, you can get 1-2 good lift hills from it. Slow speed and swinging cars make lateral Gs rarely a problem. You can crack the 200m limit easy that way. Also since the max. height is so low and you build on leveled terrain, you rarely block other constructions with it and in reverse you run into far less problems integrating this coaster into already existing designs in your park.

I replayed Orignial RCT a few years back and thought "Meh, I have to play Trinity Islands again..." the scenario with no good costers in it... But finally, it clicked for me, the tiny Islands were ideal places to learn how to free build those low tier coasters - lessons I took over to other parks. This must have been intentional - Chris Sawyers is a genius. The scenario designs from RCT1 form a perfect learning curve. No Park Manager ever managed to recapture this and I think it's the main reason RCT is still so well regarded over the years.

My no1 worst coaster would be the Steeplechase. Lateral Gs kill all interesting designs for it.

Hey Marcel, I just wanted to let you know that your channel has inspired me to play RCT2 for the first time in my life. Thank you so much for re-awakening my inner 2000s PC game fangirl.

My favorite thing to do is build one of these underground while covering all but the center with walk ways and such, looks super kool in the end
