Just finished installing these in my 2016 Explorer and this video was invaluable to my install. Especially the add-a-circuit tip in the delayed accessory fuse, great tip as this shuts them down with the rest of the accessories when you open the door. I actually did the install in reverse order by running the positive wire from the fuse box through the console first and identifying a ground in the center console. For other Ford Explorer installers, the black wire with white stripe is an easy to get to ground wire. I also had to modify the plastic inserts for the headrest holes to fit better but very simple to do. The hardest part of the entire install was stuffing all of the wire behind the console panel as Rockville provides a lot of wire and I mean a lot! Everything works perfectly. Thanks for the video.

Great video. I contacted Rockville, they said I could use a cigarette adapter if I didn't want to hardwire them in.

Just an FYI~~ I cut and paste this from a review " I ordered and installed replacement 14mm posts from Amazon (Autotrain VERSA Car Headrest DVD Metal Posts) instead of using the included plastic inserts which other users reported it causes the headrest to shake a little. With the correct size metal posts installed the headrest is solid and doesn’t shake, it is worth the extra $17."

Do they pick off where they left off “memory”? (Do they stay on the source, come back on when you restart the car?) How’s the video quality?

Once installed do you have to manually power them on every time or they programmed to come on with the head unit?

What did you figure out for the adapters so the head rest will click up and down? I also have ford explorer and am having same issue.
