Scout Rally: Grand Howl marks 100 years of Cubs in Hong Kong

A total of 100 Cub Scouts took part in a Grand Howl ceremony at the 2016 Hong Kong Scout Rally.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of Cubs in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Scout Association (HKSA) invited hundreds of children age 8 to 12 to take part in a special ceremony. One of the highlights was to see 100 Cubs running across Hong Kong stadium for the Grand Howl.
All of them had all completed the Golden Bauhinia Award for the Grand Howl.
Chief Justice Ma handed over the Golden Bauhinia award to Cub representatives of Hong Kong’s regions. It usually takes between one and two years to complete all requirement for the Outdoor Challenge, Adventure Challenge, Sharing Together, Helping to Lead.
A total of 41 Cubs from the English-speaking Silver Jubilee District (SJD) received the Golden Bauhinia in 2016.
Hong Kong Chief Executive CY Leung was guest of honour at the rally: he is Chief Scout of Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Stadium is the venue for the annual Rugby Sevens tournament.
