The Foundation is honored to interview Dr. Minas Chrysopoulo, the founder and developer of the Breast Advocate App. This free app is for for those affected by breast cancer. It is available on Apple Iphone, Ipad, and Android. It will soon be available for desktop.

The wizard is a unique feature that allows you to customize your care plan so you can begin to understand what your preferences and options are for your treatment. This app will give you the tools necessary to have a shared decision making conversation with your healthcare team.

The library is loaded with evidence-based articles and resources to inform you of the latest research, surgical options, and resources to help you make an informed decision. The app was co-created by leading specialists and patient advocates.

Thank you so much for developing this app! It would have helped me SO much a few years ago when I was dealing with a mastectomy, not having been given all reconstruction options. So, I went “flat”, which turned out to be concave and rather disfiguring. It was only recently that I learned about the DIEP Flap, muscle-sparing option. I have downloaded the Breast Advocate app and am making good use of it as I navigate the DIEP Flap process. Thanks again! 🌺
