Pyle did help some people start their audio journey. Not the greatest equipment, but a stepping stone. Some of us, limited by economic sanctions, couldn't get Alpine and Kenwood, so beggars couldn't be choosy. I have had a couple of Pyles. 😂 Thanks for your time and efforts to share this with us all. Stay well.

I never forget that for one person this device is nothing more than a joke and for another on the other side of the world such an amplifier is a childhood dream come true. Not everyone can afford a real Hi-Fi.

Pyle used to be quality. They made speakers for many big names. When I was in high school, the best subwoofers to have were Pyle Drivers. Another fun fact, the "music" room in my house used to be a storage room for vintage Pyle products. This is because we bought our house from the Pyle family (founder's son).

Most people have forgotten that Pyle teamed up with Schitt for their "SteamIng" line of amps several years ago. Anyone here have a SteamIng Pyle-Schitt amp? I hear they stunk.

I bought the little "90W" Pyle amp for my workshop after our last move. It weighs about as much as a deck of cards and is marginally better than a deck of cards at producing sound. For $30 more one can get a Fosi or similar that doesn't sound like a transistor radio.

Ah yes, Pyle, the brand that comprises 80% of your search results whenever you search for anything audio-related on Amazon. These guys have been selling junk since I've been alive. Always wondered just how bad it was.

Believe it, or not, Pyle used to make very respectable drivers. I had to replace a blown bass speaker in my vintage Advent speakers about 25 years ago. Still have them and they are far better than they were from the factory. At this point, it is just a name that is sold to low-level manufacturers, I suppose.

You made me dive into Amazon looking at cheap amps. My curiosity is piqued. I feel like Yoda "There is another".

I bought one similar to this a few years ago. It was defective, but they immediately sent me another one. I used it as the main power amp along with a u-Turn custom TT in a 1960's stereo console after I gutted the original electronics (but still use the vintage speakers). It actually sounds really good and brings back memories of listening to Grand Funk Live in my friend's "rich" parents living room.

I have 2000w pyle receiver with four 250w Sanyo speakers from the 80s. Have used it at city events a couple of times. I got nothing but compliments and "what system is that" questions. My 30' x 25' game/TV room is where is normally is used and it sounds amazing. I have had friends borrow it for parties. So I have used and set up some systems for clubs, (kenwood and alpine), that of course had more wattage, but the sound was close to the same. I have had it for 10 years now and still going strong.

When PYLE first came out in the late 60s they made decent subs. I remember a friend of mine had 15" pyle pounders in the 80s and those things hit low as hell. The PYLE driver series was good quality too. It wasn't until the mid 90s they started making cheap junk. They were at one time made in the US.

I bought a Pyle PYAUWFI46..$99.00 it has WIFi and Bluetooth..in 2016.. For my shed, that runs two Yamaha speakers outside the shed for our carport in Florida, i thought it would be dead by now because of the humidity and heat down here, it sounds ok, kinda flat ...but it still entertains and doesn't usually disturb the neighbors. I cant complain. It was cheap and it still works.

The noise is actually a feature gently reminding you that you left it on. Consider their concern for your utility usage. I find it heart warming! Don't hate the noise. Hate the high cost of electricity!
EDIT...come to think it I had a 12" Pyle guitar speaker in an ancient Peavey.

Some of the 1980's Pyle car audio amps were amazing values. They knew that they were going to be installed by amateurs, so they included every type of circuit protection possible. You could ground the speaker negative wires to the car chassis and it wouldn't hurt anything. The reason they had such a bad reputation was because they were only sold at flea markets. It wasn't that they were poor quality. Pyle Driver subs were a good value as well.

I use a Pyle PFA330BT amps ($35 for 2 amazon special four years ago) with bluetooth in my cheap refurbed old racing sailboat, and the other ended up in a professional kitchen. One powers some Micca OoOs in the boat and the other powers Dayton DMK402s (both sound pretty decent...) plenty loud to hear while sailing with speakers below pointing out hatch, plus it is wired direct to 12volt boat system. It is a little scratchy on the bass knob but both systems have been in pretty brutal environments...and keep working.

Keep in mind that the amperage draw is not directly tied to the amperage output. Capacitance of the unit can provide peak output far higher than draw, although not for a long sustained period of time.

Awesome! I’ve been hoping for this review for years.

By the way, Bluetooth has a limited frequency response. It would probably sound better with a direct like in.

Actually, out of all honesty I just purchased one and I connected it to my studio monitors and this little thing sounds amazing. Has great punch and clarity for the price. I was impressed.
