Thank you for all the love you've shown Nonfiction November (and me!) over the years. Year 10 will be my last as the host of NFN, but I think it'll also be the best one yet. 🥰

the nostalgia in those intro clips. I've been with you since the beginning so it's wild to think we've been doing this booktube thing for 10 year. Looking forward to participating as always! Thanks for everything you've done to get people excited about nonfiction, Olive!

I've never had a successful NFN where I finished all of the books I planned on reading. Given that this is the last, I'm gonna try my very best!

I love this challenge and look forward to it every year. Participating in NFN over the years brought me new discoveries and great discussions that have led to new friendships. I hope the enthusiasm around Nonfiction will continue. I'm planning my TBR now.

A fun edit Olive. I started with one book four years ago, these days my nonfiction reading is at least 30%, about 35 - 40 books a year and some of them are pretty hefty too. Thanks for leading us along this one last time.

This is actually my first time “officially” participating in nonfiction November, I’m so excited to give it my all, in honor of the last NFN you’ll be hosting!

Thank you for showing nonfiction some love on book tube! I don’t read romance or fantasy so I’m often drifting, unmoored in the sea of book tube. So, thank you!

The nostalgia packed into the opening of this video is real! I hope this really is the best one ever! (I also low key hope you will still do the challenge words in future, even if this isn't a full blown event. They are my favorite part...besides the books, of course.)

I am happy to be here for your final Nonfiction November! I read lots of nonfiction in any case, but the challenges this time have brought me to four titles. For path: Common Ground -- Encounters with Nature at the Edges of Life. For code: Good Talk -- A Memoir in Conversations, a graphic novel about "cracking the code" for talking about race issues with a brown son in a mixed-race family. For join: Speaking Out -- Queer Youth in Focus, a photographic essay showing unity and diversity in the LGBTQ+ community. For shot: a re-read of Notebook of an Agitator by James P. Cannon with case studies of working-class organizing in the U.S. from the 1920s to the 1950s, including resistance to the Korean War and an international campaign to save anarchists Sacco and Vanzetti from the electric chair. Fascinating sections at the end of the book about the U.S. fascist movement in the 1950s, which is the main reason I want to come back to this one. Loved this video's "Olive through the years" intro!

It just takes the right book... or the right booktuber to turn someone into a non-fiction reader. I was exclusively a fiction reader until I found your channel some years ago and your enthusiasm for non-fiction was so contagious I just needed to get in on the fun 😊. Last year, for the first time, 50% of my reading was non-fiction, and this year is going the same way so far. Thank you for broadening my horizons, Olive!! And for all the great recommendations. You literally changed my reading life 😁

Great intro Olive!! My non-fiction reading has fallen off a cliff this year so this is just what I need! ☺️ Here are my picks:
Code - The Riddle of the Labyrinth: The Quest to Crack an Ancient Code by Margalit Fox (credit booktuber Audrey Approved)
Path - The Nature Fix: Why Nature Makes us Happier Healthier and More Creative by Florence Williams (credit booktuber Triumphal Reads)
Shot - 🤔🤔 Maybe Venomous: How Earth’s Deadliest Creatures Mastered Biochemistry (because they can “shoot” venom into other organisms) or Patient Zero: A Curious History of the World’s Greatest Diseases (which has led to various shots/inoculations)
Join - Cultish: The Language of Fanaticism by Amanda Montell

Your opening reminds me of when I was a private school teacher. I had children, often boys, who said they didn't like books or reading and their parents said the same. I gently nudged them to non-fiction and they got hooked! Suddenly non-readers wanted to read. I think the same goes for adults, there is so much good non-fiction out there. I personally gravitate towards biography, but also love nature lore and so much more!

This year I challenged myself to read at least one nonfiction book each month. This has led to not only some excellent reading but a whole separate wing of my TBR and stellar recommendations. I have several books in mind for November; it's under development! Thank you for hosting!
