The Lord knows when to send us words and even songs of encouragement. I just asked Alexa to play Don Moen and it did it randomly but when this song played it captivated me that I had to stop grab my coffee and sit on the couch. Googled it and found it here! It's a tough week as 2 members of our church in a week span got diagnosed with cancer. Then a friend I met at a park in 2021 became a good friend and is now in the process of divorce! No matter what life throws at us, one thing remains… it's God’s faithfulness! Never give up my friend, the Lord is near and He loves you!

So many emotions and thoughts run through my mind as I listen to this. There is so much about tomorrow, or the next week, month or year, that I don't know about. Yet our relationship with Jesus is based on His faithfulness. Not our faithfulness, but His.

And then we come to the verse about not knowing when we will die. I can't help but think of dad. His time came like a thief, but by God's grace he still was able to speak to each one of us and say his goodbye. I miss dad so much, yet I see God's grace in his absence today.
