Mistakes because I don't always know what I'm talking about lol:

6:13 - The 0.6x multiplier is actually slowing down your speed, rather than reducing the knockback you deal. You still do have your knockback reduced after the first hit in a sprint, but due to a different section of the code. You can see a full explanation in the comment from @OpaqueEclipse (thanks for pointing that out!)

7:32 - You don't actually move backwards when you S-tap in most cases, though I have seen this successfully used before. I phrased this section poorly. Rather, you press S *as if* you were moving backwards, but it just cancels out your forward movement (from pressing W) and allows you to stop on a dime for a faster sprint reset than W-tapping. Thanks to @ojfrizz for mentioning this!

I'm honestly amazed at your progression through out this channel, I used to be an invaded lands player back in around 2018 and I remember seeing you around quite often, either in game or just hanging out on the forums, your determination is crazy to me, the fact that you always continued doing youtube and never gave up. I remember hearing people clown you for your youtube and making fun of it (as they do) because it was a very toxic community, and seeing your success and growth really feels good. You deserve it man. I've always been watching your videos even back from 2018, and you have really proven that you can achieve anything you put your mind to it. Thanks for showing me that.

6:13 That is actually incorrect. The bit of code you have highlighted is the code that multiplies the attacker's velocity by 0.6 if the attacker is sprinting (This is why when you click high cps your knockback gets reduced). What really happens in the code is when the variable i is more than 0 [if (i > 0)], it will add extra knockback [targetEntity.addVelocity]. i is how much the extra knockback is multiplied by and gets increased by 1 if the attacker is sprinting. Also, for every knockback enchantment level, i is also increased by 1.

Probably the most helpful and in depth PVP guide I've seen yet. A surprising amount of the one's I've watched just go like "ok so first get a good mouse, then tap w and click left and right click really quickly" and this one actually explained a lot of this stuff in detail. I never even heard of bow boosting too.

THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO UPLOAD 25 MINUTES AGO BUT I SCREWED UP THE SCHEDULING

17:53 I actually know how to explain it, the base of a right triangle is shorter than the hypotenuse. a2 + b2 = c2. (a = left side, b = bottom/lower player hits, c = hypotenuse/higher player hits)

I didn’t know Minecraft was so hardcore… I played like 6 years ago and it was all just building little cabins, making chicken farms, and searching for Diamonds. The game has really evolved I guess. Cool video

I’m a 2014 Minecraft OG veteran and want to return to this game after over 3 years of not playing the game! I remember gravel paths, old tutorial worlds, nether reactors, old water and monster sounds, old lighting, and more. I always played on Xbox 360 but I have no experience in keyboard and mouse setups so that’d why I’m here :). Minecraft civilization videos are interesting so I want to learn PvP movement so I can survive in them

Very good video! If I were to suggest any improvements, I think including different strategies for getting the first hit could be interesting, for example hitselection.

20:21 When something explodes in Minecraft, the damage is actually taken from the feet. This is why if you see people mine for netherite, they put beds down, and even if they are on the same level as the beds, they put 1 block between them and the bed, and the bed hardly does any damage. This is the same with tnt, crystals, anything that blows up in Minecraft. You are correct on how being lower is better for more damage but I figured I’d go more into depth with the reason why it does more damage.

Oh my god what a video. It makes me so happy to finally see this level of effort and quality put into a video, which is a bit rare these days and unheard of in the Minecraft scene at least in this aspect. As a 6 year Minecraft player and avid PvPer on Hypixel and servers alike since 2016, it took me a while to pick up on a lot of the concepts and mechanics mentioned in the video due to just the lack of there being a clear and in-depth analysis, so I respect and take joy that newer players have the opportunity to learn what took me and many others years in just a few months maybe. I’ve personally seen myself improve over the past 3 years and have picked up on almost every technique and mechanic mentioned in the video from the basics up to the more advanced and specific ones. Actually I can think of one I learned a few years ago from a PvP tips video that wasn’t mentioned, from what I recall, in this video (Hitting players’ legs or lower half of their body actually gives better hit reg (not sure why but would love to hear an explanation of that)). Despite my experience and knowledge of the aforementioned, I actually didn’t understand something that this video explained which was the logic and mechanics behind sprint resetting and knockback, and also didn’t know that the different sprint resetting methods had different uses! So thanks for explaining and teaching me that! Seriously man for the level of production, research and time that went into this video you deserve way more than what you have, and if you keep this up I can easily see you chilling at 500k - 1M subs in less than a year with how YouTube is. Great stuff man, earned my Sub and really made me wanna PvP again. Great Job :D

I knew most of this but honestly I surprisingly never checked the actual numbers despite pvping for so long. It's been a while since I saw your videos and it's improved so much

Hi MCBYT You have got me hooked on your videos especially the name sniping. Which leads me to my Question: What do you think will happen to non migrated accounts. I currently own the account ItzAJN because the account name AJN was already taken. However it hasn’t logged in to Minecraft for many years now and it seems like I’m the only one to show interest in it (NameMC), so do you think it will be available to snipe or, what do you see happening to non-migrated accounts in the future ? Good luck with the December grind and keep posting amazing Videos

If you ever is going to update this you should include debuffing you opponent with potions and lava bucketing your opponent. It's extremely effective

You said that shift tapping isn't worth it in <1.9. It 100% is. When you are shift tapping, you still have forward momentum, meaning that you will take less kb than w tapping and s tapping as they require you to stop for a short period of time. If you were to get hit while you stop, you will go flying. Shift tapping means that you will always be moving forward, giving you an advantage in kb based games such as sumo and boxing. It also mentally distracts the other player and sometimes makes them rage quit. There is also an unknown method called sprint-key-tap, where you time the press of the sprint keys to reset your sprint. (I have made a video on it.) It is by far the most effective pvp method, as you will be walking when sprint resetting, meaning that you will take even less kb than shift tapping. If you combine this with methods such as jump resetting, you will become unstoppable.

This was very well made I even learned a few new things from this video :)

While this is a great tutorial, very detailed in everything, this applies to 1.8 pvp (except for a few things like sprint resetting, strafing and clutching). I would like to see a tutorial more detailed on 1.9+ pvp but if you don't want to make one thats fine :)
