Yes, the problem is in the wire. When you open the hatch, look on the top left side of the door. There is a rubber pipe. Take it out, take out the wire isolation and you will see that ma.y wires are almost cutted. The power cable for the hatch button is the smallest one. Put new isolation to all cables and connect the cutted one using heat pencil (i dont know how is in english...) Pozdrav ot Bulgaria. ! :)

Thanks for sharing this, I have the same problem on my mk6 golf wagon … every time I start the engine the boot will unlock by itself…. The button is not working so I assume it’s a faulty switch.

I had a faulty micro switch the rubber part, i replaced and managed to unlock with remote and open with handle switch.My next problem was to open from drivers side door switch still working on it.any help?

Witam. Dzisiaj oddałem auto do naprawy po lekkim wybiciu prawego tylnego nadkola i tylnego prawego zderzaka. Na moim skanerze diagnostycznym mam błąd 00893 Przycisk odblokowania uchwytu pokrywy tylnej. Zamek raz się zatrzaskuje raz nie. Po zamknięciu klapa lata. Prawdopodobnie winne jest przemieszczenie tylnego zderzaka. Właściciel warsztatu powiedział, że może to przesuniecie było tego przyczyną. Mówi że będzie oglądać i powinni dać radę. Zobaczymy co wyjdzie w praktyce. Niby klikałem. Niby zamykało, otwierało. Jednak nie wiem czy ma ten błąd jakieś inne objawy. Są trudności z zamknięciem. Tak jakby zamek był faktycznie przesunięty i klips źle / nierównomiernie się zatrzaskiwał na metalowy pręt. Aż ciekaw jestem czy dadzą radę to naprawić. Liczę że tak bo to nie pierwsze auto które naprawiają a z tym moim lekko wyrwanym z zaczepu zderzakiem to pikuś w porównaniu z tym co naprawiają na co dzień. Jestem tylko ciekawy czy faktycznie klapa nie dostała. W mojej ocenie jest lekko podbita ale to może tylko moje złudzenie. Okażę się przy odbiorze. Muszę natomiast wytestować jak zamek po odbiorze funkcjonuje z każdym trybem kluczyka. No i czy skaner nadal wykryje błąd. Spróbuje wykasować błąd po naprawie. Zobaczę wtedy czy błąd zniknie czy powróci. Oby nie. Pozdrawiam.

That is not the buton or the mechanism.The problem is withw the wires from the tailgate to the body of the car.The wire on the driver side.

I have this problem it's undiagnosable. It works when it wants. Maybe it's the wiring on driver side like someone said.

Guys my polo car has problm with tailgate and the problem is Strange CAN'T ABLE TO CLOSE THE BOOT if its close automatically it ll get open and I checked with polo service center they checked and said lock is really Good but issue might be in Remote or sensor so can anyone help me in this ?
