Vlad and D.L. Hughley discussed the surprising wealth and real estate assets of rapper Vanilla Ice. During the discussion, Vlad revealed the rapper's savvy business decision to acquire copyrights for the songs "Under Pressure" and "Ice Ice, Baby," which led him to earn substantial royalties. Finally, Vlad and Hughley debated whether Vanilla Ice or Eminem was more accepted in the "hood" when they first entered the music scene, with Hughley arguing in favor of Eminem.

Vladimir he answered your question. You asked him a question and he answered the question all because he didn't give you the answer you were looking for you don't have to try to coerce him into saying what you want him to say

Only Vlad would try to compare Vanilla Ice to Eminem - Em is a genius on the mic - easily top 5 all-time

Eminem. I remember the first time I heard Eminem. We was in the hood at my cousin house. Tripping off this white guy and how he was spitting

Vanilla Ice was NEVER accepted in the hood. This question is confusingly dumb.

I'm sorry but I have to say this. There's absolutely no musical or artistic correlation towards Eminem or vanilla ice. That was just a strictly race thing. They both talk about totally different things, they're not even honestly the same genre lol. I'm not that much of a huge Eminem fan but you have to respect the artistic talent Eminem brought to hip hop as a whole, regardless of race. Now in this era where people don't really listen to much music, just what they can see and hear from other comments. But I know Eminem was one of the best lyricist, storytellers, concept creators ever. Vanilla ice is a pop artist. Not to discredit vanilla ice in any way. But you call a spade of spade and a deuce a deuce.

Not sure if vlad just subconsciously conflated the hood with worldwide success, or if he pivoted just to make a stronger argument, but either way, DL wasn’t falling for it. He said - nah man; that’s not what you asked me lol

We was most definitely bumpin Eminem in the hood around the year 2000. Especially the joints he did with Dre.

In my experience with Vanilla Ice, growing up "the hood" when the record dropped, it didn't feel authentic. It wasn't a bad song, it was just something off in the presentation. The visuals felt too MC Hammerish. We already had hammer, didn't need a white version. This is why acts from around that time lasted or did well like 3rd Base or Beastie Boys. Felt Authentic and different. Thus Eminem, authentic and different.

Vlad I know you were expecting DL to say Vanilla and you had a whole speech planned for why you agreed with him. But you should take your question and turn it into an action and go into any hood and ask them to name 3 Eminem songs and 3 Vanilla songs. I guarantee even if they don’t like or listen to Eminem they can name 3 songs same can’t be said for Vanilla.

Vanilla Ice was the white MC Hammer just like New kids on the block was the white New Edition

Thank you, DL. Why does Vlad always have such a hard-on for Em? Vanilla Ice Pop sucked from the get-go! Not a rhymer! Good as a dancer and that was it! Em was the truth from the beginning. Facts!

Ain't no way Vlad asked this as a serious question

Even though Dj Vlad clearly has a bias against Em, I appreciate that he will still upload the clip showing him look like a damn fool instead of burying it
