It was a true injustice! Semiha Yanki deserved the victory: because of her voice, of the nice melody, the feeling and the environment she created. I assume that politics were behind that result, something that my country, Spain, has also suffered in Eurovision. But geopolitical tensions should not rule a song contest. And according to a musical vision, there was no reason for a last place. Thanks Semiha and Turkey for that Moment!

This is another record. You should also listen eurovision performance. This is maybe the most undervalued song ever in eurovision song contest history. Totally a victim of daily politics.

The lyrics to this song are actually quite powerful, pity they were in Turkish. The song actually came in last in the EV competition, but then hit the #1 in charts in Turkey.

She was locked in a house where she could only have bread cheese and marmalade. Her money was taken and she was given this Russian ethnic dress from a boutique in Turkey. She couldn’t raise her voice or open up a lawsuit because it would be way too scandalous to reveal it back then due to the sense of patriotism during that time. She speaks up by now though

as a Turk this is my favourite entry of Turkey in Eurovision. and it is sad to see this song never reachs foreigners. i love everything with this song: melody, lyrics, her voice, performance. i am not sure if the custome fits to this performance(probably not) but not really care. anywy thanks for your honest reaction👍👍
