As a child I was forced to "grow up" very quickly. Parents fighting, separating, getting back together, fighting again, rinse and repeat. In my early teens my brother became addicted to hardcore drugs and beat me a lot and while my parents cared in the heat of the moment, eventually he was forgiven every time. Since I was sober my whole life and he was drugged out all of the attention (both negative and positive) was given to him since "I was sober so I was fine on my own". Not to disregard everything my parents have done for me-- because they have done alot, I grew up very alone and learned many life lessons the hard way.. I hurt a lot of people because of my own pain. I can't remember alot about when I was a child. I remember smiling sometimes and it's different. Pure. Thank you for this cover, it struck a cord with me. Despite all of my pain and suffering, I'm still here. I've changed but I'm here and things are starting to look up as I start my 20's. Things get hard and sometimes you'll want to die. Don't. Hold on to the little things and cherish them because when things get dark, they will light your way out.
