Speaking at the MSNBC Democratic debate, Hillary Clinton accuses Sen. Bernie Sanders of an 'artful smear' by attacking her for taking high dollar speaking engagements.

I'm voting for the feminist candidate who has been standing up for civil rights (women, LGBT, minorities, etc.) for decades. The candidate who has much more experience, and able to stand up to the Republicans.

So Hillary said (rather indignantly), "...there is this attack that he is putting forth which really comes down to, you know,  anybody who ever took donations or speaking fees from any interest group, ahhh has to be bought.  And I just absolutely reject that, Senator.  ...But you will not find that I ever changed a view or a vote because of any donation that I ever received."

Do you mean like how in 2007 when you were FOR single payer Medicare for all right up until the healthcare insurance industry and the pharmaceutical industry pumped huge donations into your campaign fund and you suddenly "evolved" to your current position of being AGAINST single payer, Medicare for all because you think it is far wiser to keep corporate interests in control of our overly expensive, partial healthcare system to make their huge profits and deny medical coverage whenever those profits would be impaired?  And just why do all the Wall Street and corporate fat cats continue to fund and support your campaign when you talk about reining them in?  Are they stupid, or just feeling guilty and secretly want to be stopped, so they eagerly help you do it with their money?  And just how effective is the Dodd-Frank Act going to be since Congress essentially gutted anything of substance from it, INCLUDING the provision in it that would have protected the American public from bailing them out again WHEN their next collapse from risky gambling and criminal schemes blows up the American economy?

She's trying to avoid the issue by making it all about her. It's not about her, it's not about Bernie. it's about the American people. What does the corrupt finance system 'mean for the people'? That's the issue.

Note how Hillary is prepared to continue her attack after the clearly rehearsed "artful smears" line. She hears the boos, quickly scans the room and realizes she's laid a bomb. She clumsily pivots to agreeing with Bernie before the boos get out of hand, claiming kinship on the issues. Not her best moment.
