Honorable mentions have to be 2016 Miners and Bowlers. Mass miners easily tripled max 11s for a while after release to the point where top competitive wars would ban them. Bowler spam also completely reshaped the base meta at th11 which has held until today.

TH9 was the best balanced, and the most fun when trying to plan war attacks. GoHo may have been the top strat, but GoLaLo was always my favorite. A golem with heroes, 3-5 wiz, and a few wallbreakers or a jump spell, and you took out the enemy queen, cc, and at least 1 air d, sometimes 2. Then you'd use lalo on the rest of the base.

Tears... Hog Rider and Lavaloon attacks were my favourites in 2014, and I was th9. Stopped playing for a decade and now I'm back with my th10. Man, after all those years and so many updates; still, I gotta say this game feels awkwardly cozy.

The root rider nerf hurt a bit, but I stopped spamming that shit after the first nerf. This time, the attack evolved into something more like super bowler smash. Still 3 stars a lot of bases.

In the old builder base you could just drop a hero followed by witches behind at any corner of the base and the bats spawned by witches will just 3 star every single base. The strategy was so popular for years until they added a lava launcher.

So basically, every strategy someone invents, Supercell changes the game to make it difficult. It kind of pisses me off. 🤔🤔

I still use that hog spam strat to this day. So much that my clan nicknamed me "The Hog Tamer" lol

To me it´s still mind-blowing that the Valkyrie is now playable again, after being the worst, probably least used troop in the game for years.

Hogs were really OP because of how fast they are. Unlike other defense targeted troops like loons and giants, Hogs can cleanup after, meaning you don't need to waste army space with cleanup troops

I was the 1st clan member to use gowipe in a clan with 99% using dragon attack back then.

I remember when I'm TH9 I always used AQ and BK and barbarians and archer army. Back then where you can boost the troops by using the Hero ability 😅 spaming barbarians and archers are so fun
