He doesn’t know how lucky he is. I’m picturing one day you two having the conversation from Lego Movie:

We bought it at the toy store.
But the way I’m using it is an adult thing.
It says ages 8 and up on the package.

Kids below 3 years old I think is a great danger to the state of your minifigures since they are pulling everything into their mouth to deal with cutting teeth. I know my 9 month old does. Not only that but the choking hazard is another problem. But when you get the kids close to your Lego stuff they are so focused on trying to grab things you just sometimes feel like you can’t resist letting them. Don’t :)
