Today You'll See Me With NO Tattoos | TRANSFORMED

STEVEN, 35, had kidney failure five years ago and so decided to tattoo his face after realising life was too short. The support worker, from Scarborough UK, suffered from illness in 2016 and when he went to the hospital, they informed him that his kidneys were functioning at 3%. That gave him the push to start tattooing his face and little by little most of his body was covered in ink. How will Steven react once he sees himself without any tattoos in this transformation? Will his friends recognise him?

I do not judge people that want to have ink on their skin but honestly his head and face look so much better with the tattoos covered up. He is the one who has to be happy in the end but for me is an improvement for him.

You look WAY more handsome without. It's very nice to see your face. My son's father passed away 5 years ago from complications of kidney failure. Our son has the same disease but in reverse. Our son was diagnosed at 9 with incomplete and distal renal tubular acidosis. He's 27 now and has had acute failure 30+ times. I know how horribly sick people get with kidney disease. I promise to keep you in my prayers always. I wish you the absolute best.

He has great facial structure all lost by the tattoos. I always wonder how these people can spot skin cancer or rashs that could indicate serious health problems. When he said he wanted to hide that said it all. All those tattoos were inspired by fear. A sad reason.

I have never heard a really definitive reason why people with tattoos started filling their body and head with tattoos, except for such things as, "it seemed cool at the time, " or, "my friends and I were having a competition." Tattoos force you to forever relive whatever state of mind you were in years ago when you got tattoos. People change as they get older, so "dating" yourself via tattoos seems quite risky as we move into the future. 😮
