Stay home photography challenge! Its vital we keep our photographic minds active, In this video i push my creative skills to the limit searching my house for abstract photography compositions. Its actually addictive once you get going!! haha

As we are all in lockdown in the UK, i found this to be a very worthwhile challenge, ensuring i kept my creative juices flowing and my photographic eye challenged! Using only my Fujifilm X100V i was thrilled with the images i found.. since then ive been seeing potential abstract photography compositions all around the house, even on our walks to the shops.

Observation, observation, observation and a sprinkling of creativity. I'm a retired teacher and one of my mantras was the connection between observation in the arts being linked to subjects such as maths and science. Do we learn how to observe, can it be taught? As an individual, I can see the possibility of an image that maybe someone else doesn't. It's a personal observation. It may be the result of cropping and/or changing an angle. My main photography menu is that of runners and holiday snaps. It's actually been a fruitful time for me; I've learned a little bit about Photoshop which will come in useful plus a record of the neighbourhood where I live. Your shots are really imaginative and I would think that street photography is the main influence behind these images.Thanks for that Gareth. Just waiting for the sun to come out now.
