Surah Al–Baqarah was named because of the story of the cow including in this surah.

“It was revealed at different times and its name Surat “Al-Baqarah” because of the story of the cow in which it was killed, as a man of the children of Israel was killed in the time of Moses Peace be upon him and “Allah” ordered them to slaughter a cow to beat him with some parts of it. To know who killed him, they asked many questions to Moses about the descriptions of that cow, which “Allah” ordered them to slaughter in order to do, but they did in the end and knew the killer” [1].

The Holy Quran is the holy book of Islam, revealed by God (Allah) to the Prophet Muhammad (SAV-PBUH). The original language of the Quran is Arabic. All Arabic Qurans in the world preserve the original revelation. Quran consists of 114 Surahs.

The Quran is a miracle due to its unique linguistic beauty, preservation, scientific insight, accurate news about the future, universal validity and transformative effect on humanity.

Quran contains scientific insights that were not known at the time of its revelation, indicating divine knowledge. There are many verses of Quran addressing cosmology, embryology, physics, chemistry, astronomy, biology, medicine, and natural phenomena.

In the Quran, there is a challenge presented to humanity to produce a scripture similar to it. This challenge is mentioned in several verses, notably in Surah Al Baqarah, Verse 23:

"And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our Servant [Muhammad], then produce a surah the like thereof and call upon your witnesses other than Allah, if you should be truthful."

This verse invites people to produce a chapter (Surah) similar to those found in the Quran, if they doubt its divine origin. The challenge extends to producing something of comparable linguistic excellence, coherence, guidance, and impact.

Despite this invitation, the Quran asserts in Surah Al Isra, Verse 88:

"If mankind and the jinn gathered in order to produce the like of this Qur’an, they could not produce the like of it, even if they were to each other assistants."

This verse emphasizes the impossibility of replicating the Quran's unique qualities, even if all human and jinn were to collaborate.

The Quranic challenge to produce something similar remains unmet throughout history. This proves that the Quran is divine. Its linguistic eloquence, coherence, guidance, impact and many more features are considered unparalleled, serving as evidence of its miraculous nature.
