I agree that this soloing puts definitely a life at risk. On the other hand, being so fast makes the possibility of bad weather, stone falls and other problems really, really small.

Can't quite see but this may be dani Arnold. .. he undertook several of these challenges and was in a sort of unofficial competition with ueli steck they kept beating each other on various ascents .. before the tragic death of ueli. 😢

I love mountains but I hope i will never get to the point when love for their beuty will be replace by the need to overcome another chalange because if it does then there is only one ending that awaits unless you stop in

Dude congrats. I made it to 11, 500 feet last year on a whim. Its crazy how big the Matterhorn is up close and majestic….just looking over the valley and Zermatt!

Just saw the Netflix documentary about Ueli and Arnold, my take their are both nuts but amazing machines, RIP Ueli!

If you push a little harder you can get a very common but still pretty fast descent.

It wouldve been even more impressive if he climbed back, but he most probably got picked up by a helicopter. Those descents while completely exhausted are the real challenge.
