I DNFd Clockwork Prince. Skimmed the last few pages and read Clockwork Princess in its entirety. You know what... didn't miss a thing by reading it that way.

I had tried reading Cloud Atlas on 2 different occasions, until I decided to change tactics & listen to the audio book. That worked because I managed to finish it but I did struggle near the end

I loved Clockwork Prince. I will admit that though these books aren't necessarily literary masterpieces, I love them so much. I love Will Herondale so much (I love Jem too but I'm more of a Will).

Haven't read / DNF'd any of these myself, but I love watching these types of videos. I hardly ever let myself DNF so I find the whys and hows of DNFing super interesting. I just picked up "American Gods" - good to hear that you liked it, and plan on finishing it!

The audiobook of Jane Eyre narrated by Thandie Newton is absolutely wonderful, if you ever feel like giving it another go in a new way! :)

I find it so interesting that you want to start all over again! I read Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson (over 1000 pages) in two really big chunks a little over a year apart, I think lol. I really didn't want to go back and re-read it and I felt like I had remembered enough to that I didn't need to. But I would also pick it up and read a bit of it every once in awhile in that in between time. :)

I have read Cloud Atlas. It was amazing. At the very least, you should watch the movie.😊

I've really only had 2 dnf's so far. The first one was Armada by Ernest Cline. That one was a rough read and my eyes were getting tired from rolling them so much while reading.
Recently I didn't finish Senlin Ascends but its one I will come back to. Don't think I was in the right reading mentality (personally rough week) so had to put it down for the time being

Have you seen the movie Cloud Atlas? I really enjoyed it, especially on a 2nd viewing the story came together for me. I might listen to the audio book one day... Also clockwork books on audio are pretty good

I almost DNFed American Gods too (after months and months) but then I got the audiobook and it was a full freaking production with different actors and it was awesome! I won't lie and say it was totally worth it, this wasn't my favorite read at all but I was glad I read it.. you can always watch the upcoming tv show and be done with it :P
