I wish i could design a prison where a big speaker in his cell can be called by anyone in the world and you can verbally abuse him up to 30 sec a call

Urban Dictionary: Pulling a Darby or Darbified- when you come in like the Keystone Cops and fcuk up a situation already under control.

Even after a trial and conviction, the union and Police Department insist Darby is innocent.

Maybe it' is too difficult, for some people and some cops to accept that an officer can do wrong. ...But,
that is no reason to allow Darby to escape the responsibility for the murderous bungling crime that his
actions amounted to. ...It's as if Darby chose to act in a reality which did not exist for everyone else at the scene.
The situation was already under control and de-escalating, handled by a more competent police officer, when Darby charges in with a shotgun, incorrectly assesses the situation, disregards the necessary sensitivity required on his own part, and shoots a man in mental desperation (suicidal) with a gun to his own head, who was seeking help.
...Darby and some others (Ex Huntsville Police Chief) may believe that Darby did the correct thing, but that just highlights the problem the population has, with some cops, and many of the rotten policies some officers and departments enforce, often without question, and with 'chilling effects'.
...Darby didn't 'serve and protect', very well, the man he 'murdered' that day. ...And, Darby didn't add more reason for the public to invest more trust, or not to question police officers' judgments from his performance, and from those who've acted to support him.
The jury got it right.

Officers are not trained to shoot in the shoulder or the leg. If they believe they or anyone in the area is going to be mortally wounded they are trained to shoot, and to aim the bullet at the largest target, which is the chest b/c it's easiest to hit, and then the head, which insures only one person will die vs multiple and that the one person is the one who poses the threat of loss of life. People in the media say shoot them in the leg or shoulder are idiots. That man whose gun was pointed toward himself could have in a split second aimed it at the officers and started shooting repeatedly, and all of them could have lost their lives. A suicidal/mentally ill person is NEVER rational. If that person walked into your home with the gun pointed at his head and behaving irrationally, and you had a gun, what would you do???? You'd act as quickly as possible to insure the safety of your family, putting the other person's safety second, which is as it should And murder has to be premeditated. This was a split second decision not premeditated so the charge wasn't even correct. There is a saying 'never judge a person until you've walked a mile in their shoes". All of you who are so quick to judge and so anti-cop, I hope YOU experience karma b/c it's a bitch. This officer was not a pussy. A pussy would have run away from the scene.

Darby should have followed the ten commandments....and he would not be going to prison.

Darby could have shot Parker in the shoulder or the leg. He didn’t need to shoot to kill. I understand they have to make split-second decisions, and I appreciate that. But the man had a gun pointed toward HIMSELF, which means Darby had enough time to make a better decision. This is about accountability. It’s shocking that so many people are condoning an obviously horrible choice.
