If you grew up in the 90's chances are you went to the @Clinique counter with the most makeup obsessed adult human in your life. I went with my mom, and eventually, I kept going back to the Clinique counter for very specific items. I still use them from time to time, but as you know, I am always evaluating. The top 3 Clinique items I've used over the years are the Take the Day Off, Eye makeup remover. Such a gentle but effective removal. No oily or white residue! The cleansing balm is still, to this day, one of my all-time favorites. Again so gentle, and super effective. The waxes melt out perfectly and don't feel too greasy on skin. And finally, let's give a quick shout out to the moisture surge! Back when I used her, it was more of an add on to my moisturizer now she has up to 100H of hydration in her claim. I actually watched Chanel pioneer an up to 72H hydration claim first. And now it's no surprise to see Clinique up there competitively with a higher claim. This is something that is tested by third parties to see how long the product actually provides moisture. This is definitely something that is nice to know, but I don't skip moisturizer when using these, I still apply it daily.

As a teen, Mum would let me have the free gift when she bought her makeup. She used mostly Clinique. It meant foundation was the only makeup item I “needed”.

O honey i owned everything Clinique had @ their counter!!! Literally!!! My dear Granny (whos n heaven now) was a makeup artist 4 Clinique for 20+ yrs & she gave me everything, i mean everything! Even the trays that sat on the counters that had the eyeshadows & blushes n it! Not the used 1's, I'd get the xtras like if they was sent 2 tray things & only needed 1, my sweet angel Granny would scoop the xtra & bring it home 2 me! I am the original makeup hoarder!

I have been using the TAKE THE DAY OFF line, for at least 10 years?! The balm, eye makeup remover and at one point even the wipes. (I no longer use the wipes!)

I’m also a fan of their BROWN High Impact mascara. They’re one of a few brands that carry them in brown. But I wouldn’t call it “high impact” on my “fine but average length” lashes. It’s still a nice every day mascara, when I want a brown one for a more “no makeup look.” (I always buy them during one of Ulta’s “seasonal sales” when they’re typically 50% off.)

And I like their cubby lip “crayons.” Around the holidays they’re often offering minis, in a set. (I buy a couple of sets and split them, to make stocking stuffers.)

I love Clinique. Wish I had discovered it as a teenager! I love it all. all about eyes, mascara (high impact), & dramatically different moisturizing gel. And little fragrance

The makeup remover in the balm formulation (take the day off) is still in my opinion the best on the market. This was the only makeup remover in general I found that worked and had NO fragrance back in the day. 💜

The almost powder is one of the best YSBB natural buildable coverage products and it works incredibly on dry textured skin but it’s so slept on!!!

When became a teenager in 1973, Mom took me to the mall in Corpus Christi, Tx and bought me my first "adult" skin care, and yes it was the 3 step system, with the soap in that green funky looking plastic container, toner, and moisturizer. At 14, I got a lipstick, at 15 rouge/blush, and at 16 eye shadow and mascara. All Clinique. I wore Clinique until my 30's. I guess I got the foundation when I was 15, and Mom bought me the Happy perfume when it first came out.

Ohhh- i thought as a teen in the 90’s- I remember my mum buying me a big bar of Clinique soap for your face- came in a big plastic green case- I felt so fancy!, and for a while in the early 2000’s I LOVED their range of red lipsticks!- 20+ years later and I’m still hi to g for the “perfect” red lip product!🤷‍♀️😩🥰
