I was born in 1946...got my roller skates in '51..yeah, the kind with the key! Our sidewalk was made of bricks..had scabs on top of scabs, and had a great time getting them! Later had a pogo stick, more scabs, then came riding my bike no hands, and jumping curbs! Still alive, and better for it!❤

I had the marble shooting game as a kid and you are right it was way more fun to shoot marbles at each other than play the game!!!

I had totally forgotten about the real tool kits we had back then. That was a fun thing to remember. It seems like I had that small hammer years later but I've moved a few times & down-sized since then. Years ago, my house was broken into and of all the things stolen, the one thing that upset me most was my original G.I.Joes from 1965. Thanks for the fun video.

Holy crap!...I never thought I'd see a "Handy Andy" tool set again! I was born in '61. My mom bought this home when my dad kept finding his tools laying in the yard. He never complained again when I made my Stingray Chopper bicycle in 1969.😁 I won first place in my sixth grade "Science fair".

I used to LOVE playing in the woods. Remember those little flowers violets. Id make a tiny bouquet with em and bring it home to Mom. Of course, she wasnt happy about the poison ivy which I always contracted in the woods. 😅😊😊

The toys from the past were passageways to children using their imaginations! Wonderful! My brothers and I would play the manufactured games, but many times we would make up our own rules … many many laughs! Playing outside, riding our bikes all over town, pickup ball games in the vacant lot down the street, roller skating over bumpy sidewalks, playing marbles in the dirt. It was wonderful! Now kids seem to just have their faces planted in front of a screen all day. So sad. 😰

I like the fact that you unbox the toy and show what it looks like and how it works. Great memories. Really enjoy your channel. 👍

I have Crazy Clock, Mouse Trap, and Fish Bait games in the attic, but I wish now I never got them; even though in the 1960s I played Mouse Trap so much it was wearing out. No, if I did it over again, replace them with paint by number kits. By 5th grade I was teaching myself to draw better.
By 6th grade, only me and one of the boys were becoming artists.

My brother and I each had Handy Andy tool sets when were kids. We followed our dad around and helped him with projects around the house. When each of us turned 12 we each got grown up tool boxes and tools for our birthdays.
I remember the guys at service stations had those change dispensers. Back then they filled your tank. checked the oil and other fluids, and washed the windows.

I was a sixties child and loved my toys. They were well made and gave us hours of fun and interaction with others. I’ve still got a string puppet made by a British company called Pelham. I’ve since managed to aquire nine more puppets to my collection. They are made from wood metal and quality composite materials. We also had mousetrap. Bring them all back

What an enjoyable look back. I loved the toys we grew up with. I had Operation, Pick up Sticks, Gnip Gnop, and my very favorite games were Don't Spill the Beans and Hi Ho Cherry o. Looking forward to more looks back. Thank you! And Merry Christmas

I just stumbled upon this channel and I love it. I remember some of the games and toys. I am a retired teacher and I taught special ed for 40yrs...I must have purchased at least 5 Trouble games. It was easy to play and didn't require reading. I used to play on Fridays with two little boys (I have a rule...I don't let you win because you are a child) and we played down and dirty. It was great fun.

Growing up in the 70s until star wars when I was 7 it was all about plastic army men, hot wheels, the metal tote boxes by MARX like the castle one. Skateboards. Wagons. Sling shots, marbles, all sorts of ball games whether real or made up. Kick ball was a lot of fun and all neighborhood kids could participate. My uncle gave me a used bowling ball and we kids spent a whole summer chunking that thing around. Tree houses, forts, playing Smokey and the Bandit with plastic toy CBs on our handle bars.
I got an Atari in 1978. It was for when it rained or after the street lights came on. I spent a lot of hours playing Baseball on Atari and still play it sometimes
The thing about when WE were kids...if you found something...say a broken vacuum cleaner....we just tore it to pieces and came up with uses for the pieces to play all weekend with. The biggest thing missing from kids today is imagination. I recently showed a friend's son some plastic Army men. He was astounded they don't move like the Halo soldiers he has/had. But once he realized how many there were he went nuts setting them up.
