I Completed a NEW Sketchbook For The 1st TIME?? Pt. 1

Today I am attempting to complete an entirely brand new sketchbook for the first time. I have never done this before. I'm an artist with a ton of incomplete sketchbooks and for the first time ever I thought I'd give it a solid try..and I'm definitely going to finish this one.

This video, whether you intended for it to be or not, was so validating to me as an artist. I’m the same way with sketchbooks. I feel like every page has to be a literal full work of art, forgetting that the whole point of a sketch book is to SKETCH in it. Practicing ideas instead of feeling the need to make the most incredible piece of art is what leads to the possibility of making that incredible piece of art. I feel like all of those bear drawings from the first sketch book would be SO CUTE as stickers. Like even if they were small ones on one sticker sheet. Also I am 100% here for longer video content and people actually enjoying what they're making.

Yes! I am definitely here for these longer type of videos! I love your art videos, but ultimately I enjoy watching ones that you ENJOY making. Regardless if they’re longer or shorter videos. Even if this type of format doesn’t perform as well as your other videos, I’m definitely here to watch whenever you decide to make them. I’d love to see a part 2, 3, 4 etc.! I’m also so guilty of stopping a sketchbook when I draw something that I’m not proud of. It’s so important to remember that the point of a sketchbook is to practice and learn!

I've been watching your videos for years and I'm so excited to see you complete this challenge. As a sketchbook artist, myself, I highly recommend you make your drawings in the sketchbook MUCH larger to help you fill up the page. It makes it feel like you're getting through the sketchbook faster and helps avoid burnout so you don't abandon it. It also helps to have scrape paper around so you can collage over pages you hate :) Can't wait for the rest of the series!!

I love your ink-tober sketchbook of the bears and you should turn some of those into vintage sepia type coloured washi tapes and stickers❣️ Also, moving is the pits but choosing a more long term or "forever" home is such a daunting task - it took me 3 years of looking at houses almost every weekend before finally finding my home. Sending positive thoughts that you all find what you want🫂💌🤩

Chloe, this is the content that I've been looking for. I just want to draw with mmy favorite artists on YouTube. I wish we could disregard the algorithm entirely because it is NOT artist friendly. Maybe we need a platform close to what DeviantArt used to be but for video.

I LOVE that endangered species washi tape idea. You could even have different sets for different continents - for example African animals, Australian ones (we have so many unique animals but have historically done really badly by our native animals 😢 change is happening but it’s slow). I’d even pay a little extra if a bit of that money went towards reputable conservation organisations!

I love how the first few you could tell you were trying to “do something” but toward the end you were just making things you like and they turned out awesome! As a former zookeeper, I would love endangered species washi tape. I used to work with African Penguins which are endangered. Maybe you could do endangered species grouped by continent. Great video 😊
