Isn't it wonderful to see someone taking things you taught on board, run with it, and pass it on again?

I did this in elementary school for both the art class and several projects both in and out of school! crazy how much a kid can do with the basics and way too much energy

Man. Natural teacher. It’s a skill, but it’s also inherent.

Nicely done, they’ll remember you forever as a positive example.

I took a sculpture class in highschool, and this was the first assignment that teacher gave us. That teacher is the reason cardboard is still my favorite material to use in projects, and i still have that reference board hung in my room to use when i need to revise techniques.

I love it! I've been doing papercrafts since middle school and never had a class where it was relevant. It would have been so much fun to get to learn about it at school

I made a sampler of a few things in design school, and to this day (am in my mid 50s) I DO glance at it occasionally, when I haven't done something in a while

My architecture teacher did a similar thing to teach us about models, i really enjoyed it, teachers like you are awesome!

I think this might also be pretty useful for sewing... Neat!

I have been making buildings and stuff out of recycling materials since before I can remember. I've used that same technique so much! I'm working on a series right now (two of the works are in my yt shorts if interested) where I build kind of 3d effect off of the canvas. I normally use things like toilet paper maché, tape, and aluminium foil to help build out the third dimension. I have a piece I'm currently working on where I'm making full on tree branches come out of the piece, and I have a good 20+ empty toilet paper roll... rolls to help construct the base for the maché to be built upon. Sadly though, that's the first time I thought to use the material in my pieces. I'll keep a more opened mind going forward. Thank you!

I’ve started doing prop making in theater. I definitely need to make a board like this for myself!

This is epic! 🤩 She's so well spoken. I would've loved to have examples like this when we did our cardboard projects

I made this for my classes this year. The kids really appreciated it and when I finished the internship a colleague asked me if they could keep it. Highly recommend

The background music is amazing, but I'm old and love Herbie Hancock, so there's that.

This is a great skill that's helpful for all artists (learning to make examples and notes)

I needed this so bad, I should use scoring more lol

Awesome to teach children. I haven't seen adults use that method when it surely could have helped.

I love this! I probably would have gotten more projects done on time if I didn't have to "invent" the techniques needed for the projects by myself lol

This would've been perfect for inspiration if I had it when in art classes. I'm someone who can imagine a big picture but not know how to execute it 😂

I did a 3D project in my first year of college where we had to take any smaller object and make it 5x bigger using cardboard. I chose to do my 3DS and not only that, made it complete with moving parts (control stick, flip screen, volume/3d switches) but even made a game cartridge and a stylus. I used alot of these tricks and its still one of the best things i made in 3D.
