This is riddled with inaccuracies. A Silver Alert and a search are two different things. Why does this family want to confuse people about that? Also, I was told by the family member who filed the missing persons report that it was filed March 30, not March 29. The Facebook posts by Travis make it clear that searching was in progress by April 2. AFAIK there was nothing positively placing the Barkers in the area where they were found. As late as April 5, Travis suggested (on Facebook) that they might be in California. Meaning no one was really certain where to search. Finally, the Barkers still wouldn't have qualified for a Silver Alert in Indiana; the criteria is readily available online.
