I wasn't a big fan of Jane Eyre either, or Villette. I'm keen to try Anne Brontë next.
I'm in the mood for some romances this summer.
I also have wuthering heights, assassins apprentice and birnam wood on my physical tbr.
I dnf'd chain gang all-stars really early on as I was on holiday and it was so violent, not really a beach read! I think you'll like North Woods.

Where did you find that absolutely stunning edition of The Little Friend? I love it. Also I just moved away from my home state of CO, I miss it :( I hope you’re loving it!

I don't want to discourage you, but if you didn't like Jane Eyre, I would be very surprised if you would enjoy Wuthering Heights. There is not a single likeable character in that story and I have absolutely no clue why people say it is also a romance. One must have a very strange POV on relationships to think so imo Also I wouldn't recommend it for summer.
