My Top 10 Intellivision Flashback Games! - Brett Weiss
I LOVE my Intellivision Flashback! Not only does it have a bunch of great games I played a ton back in the day, it has some previously unreleased titles as well. I have a signed copy by Keith Robinson--very cool! And I still hook it up from time to time, even though I have the original console. What are your favorite games on the console?

I missed it when these originally came out. I'm glad I was able to snag one off eBay for a decent price. I did pick up the Colecovision Flashback at retail.

glad I had made the decision to get this when it first released and ordered the expansion overlay pack for all the games

Intellvision was my first console and you never forget your first love. Night Stalker is still one of my favorite games of all time. Love the hoodie🤘

It is awesome to have the Intellivoice games on the flashback. Much easier than plugging the voice module into the classic console!

Never had the chance to play an Intellivision back in the day, unfortunately. In fact, it's the only first-gen console I didn't play on as a kid. Even now, I've somehow spent more time on a Fairchild Channel F than an Intellivision, if you can believe it...

I do like the era of gaming because as you said it is a quick pick up and play and fun and that as adults is all we have time alot if the time. Never played on the Intellivision and always wanted one and never new Flashback did one. I will go and look for one now.

Thunder Castle is my jam on the Intellivision! Easily might be my favorite game on the Intellivision. I'm aware of the hack/remake/hombrew known as Mystic Castle and that is a better game but it was Thunder Castle that got me wanting to play my Intellivision more often. Excellent list!

Those are a good selection of games, countless hours of playing with friends. Also I’d include “Bump n’ Jump” which is currently available on the Nintendo Switch.

Great list of games with one caveat, Tower of Doom has a game breaking bug on the Flashback that makes it unplayable. If it worked, it would be #1 with a bullet for me, or at least tied with Minotaur (aka Treasure of Tarmin).

I would so get this... have to wait a few paychecks, but thanks for the review mate! I played the heck out of baseball though!

Great list and great video as usual Brett! Intellvision was my first console and this brings back some great memories. I remember super pro basketball in the catalog and really wanted it as a kid but did not get it back in the day. I picked up a flashback back when they came out in it reignited my love of INTV. I'm going to fire it up and visit some of the games you recommended.

Classic Gaming Expo was a great convention. I sure enjoyed going to a few of them.

This mini console does look quite a bit like an Intellivision. Those controllers were kind of weird. I tried playing the original console at a friend's house as a kid and never got the hang of it. I was impressed by the graphics compared to the Atari 2600 at the time though.

I remember Astro Blast on the Atari. I liked it because unlike asteroids, you don't accidentally float out of where you want to be as you shoot.

The dragon in Thunder Castle looks fantastic for an early game. I'd like to try this one. Looks like a lot of fun. I hope they release it for PC or something.

Dark Cavern is a fun game. I thought I recognized it when you first showed it. I like it a lot more than the more famous game 'Adventure' as you can tell what you are doing easier and things look a bit more like something other than a blob of pixels. I'm actually glad that you left in the bit where you forgot its name. I have been having a lot of trouble with my memory lately, so I can sympathize.

Shark Shark is indeed a clever concept. Not one that you see often.

I don't own an Intellivision Flashback yet. I've thought of it. Good to know that it is a good console. I am a bit reluctant to buy consoles from stores like Dollar General after the disappointment that the AtGames Sega Genesis thing was.

Thanks for the video.

I picked one up off evilBay, as I never had one. I have since gotten an original system. I'm hoping to get the multi-cart for it one day.

I think AD&D cloudy mountain should be at number one. It could take Night stalkers spot. The game has changing mazes unlike Night Stalker

Nice video and thanks for making it. I will have to say though that Space Armada is superior to Space Invaders. Especially the 2600 version, but even the arcade, though to compare the arcade is unfair just because of the aesthetic differences and experience. If you've only played practice mode or for only a couple of levels, I could see how it might be summed up as simple, but the variation later gets insane. The invisibility is brutal. The fact that enemies blow up and destroy the next one in series. The heat seeking bullets and flash bullets are both scary and cool looking. The mothership later on starts to come down and actually destroy your bunkers.. They did a fantastic job doing a solid +1 the Space Invaders genre, which I found was boring because frankly nothing changes other than the speed of enemies.

I agree with you regarding Shark! Shark! Love that game. You can play aggressively or you can just relax to it. I can't think of another game that affords the same choice.

In any case, I find the Flashback version unplayable. The water is green on my console!

I was so glad when I got the Intellivision Collection 1 for my Evercades. Now I can play in HD and on the go, and the water looks clean! Lol

Great video! I'm enjoying these top 10 compilation related videos. What do you think about Tron Deadly Discs?

I don't know why but I passed on the Intellevision when it came out in 79 i had the atari vcs already and that controller I just didn't like it I remember seeing in the store and in that store at the time it was hooked up and i didn't think it was great I was happy with my atari I went straight to the C64 and Colecovision in 82' but now that I'm older I appreciate it a lot more and I have enjoyed playing the Intellivision I own it now it's part of my retro room and glad I softened up to it still hate that controller but the games are fun and until Colecovision came out this had the best graphic capability

It's horrible the sound emulation is crap, the yer out sound is all wrong and so is the card shuffling sound for poker & black jack. How did you get Tower of Doom to play properly ? On the Flash Back I had it did not work, could not kill the monsters just sat there and did not kill me and I couldn't kill it.
Space Armada the actual game its self is better than the VCS Version same true with Astrosmash. Yes the controllers are great, that was one thing they got right but the emulation is horrible. I returned my Flash Back for a refund.
