The security guard stepped on the guests dress. It appears that no attempt on the part of the staff was made to apologize for the error but instead escalate the situation by continuing to play the role of enforcer. The taunting head nod and smiling suggests the staff is disregarding the guest’s words compelling the guest to retaliate in a manner that restored her lost sense of worth. We see this all the time in workplaces as Organizational Psychologists.
