For people buying Personal Flotation Devices (PFD) DO NOT confuse life-jackets with buoyancy aids. Buoyancy aids WILL NOT turn you onto your back when in the water. ~ Jason, commercial shipping navigation officer and powerboat instructor.

Anyone else's balls look and feel like a Kiwi? Because mine sure don't...I think balls have a lot more wrinkles than a damn Kiwi...haha

I read Class III PFD, what I use, is for when one would expect immediate rescue....I have paddled the last 20 years in coastal water, up to a mile from land and have been lucky, no close calls/no capsizing but.... what about class I? Out of my kayak in a sudden storm would send waves over my head with a class III PFD?

You called it a life jacket however that's not true. The purpose of a life jacket is to save you life jackets hold you face up wit your head out the water. These will only aid you to float and will not hold you face up out the water hence the name buoyancy aid

Fat guy here. Got a big belly. How about a recommendation for a PFD that won't keep riding up into my throat as I'm paddling? Best I've found are the manual inflatables, which isn't the best protection..
I only see svelte people in these ads/videos for standard PFDs. What about the rest of us?

These life jackets have been proven to be unsafe, they do not support your head in the event of the wearer being knocked unconscious or is face down in the water, but the trend to look good and have the latest trendy life vest that is not safe in all conditions out weighs common sense and survivability in a life or death situation, so what's more important folks helping some idiot make a sale or you coming back home safe or your children surviving a canoe or rafting trip that went off course? Think about it!!
