This set is ok for the price but the finish is not very good and they are not made from the best tool steel.

Pittsburg Automotive long reach hose grip pliers only have a 90 day warranty. they are good enough for home use, but at work I have the Snap On set. It does make a difference on import hoses that seem to bake on.

The first set of Titan tools I bought was a set of Exo Drive sockets, way before pass thru sockets were readily available, the quality is top tier, the new Cornwell are interchangeable with them. Had them over 20 years now, never had an issue, they had really high quality stuff at 1 time

Catus do you have any tips for how to loosen up a Leatherman Wave multitool that is really, really stiff when folding and unfolding?

I've got five of them and the one I inherited from my dad has just never loosened up despite several years of use. Deep cleaning it didn't work, neither did lubing the Wave with graphite dust or fishing reel oil.

I find the "hose clamp" style pliers extremely useful when oiling detent ball bearings on ratchets/extensions.

I have the Pittsburgh set of 3 hose pliers, they work very well. Fit and finish is better than I would expect for 10$ except that the handle cover material is kinda crappie. The long reach needle nose set of 2 are the same quality. I also have the Quinn double x needle nose and they are extremely well made.

I’ve got the entire Titan long reach lineup. I use them daily professionally, they are far superior to the Pittsburgh. The steel is harder and there is significantly less flex in the handles. I have the ICON as well, fit and finish is better and the soft grip handles are nicer but I still prefer the stiffness of the Titans.

Wow, those are rough. I have some Titan tools and their nothing like that but I think they where made in Taiwan. Your right you would be better off going to Harbor Fright thanks Catus

You should get IPS Igarashis. I bet those hose pliers were so overground because of a bad asymmetry at the tips.

There’s no Pittsburgh duckbills. They do have Doyle’s assembly pliers that are the bomb tho.

India made tools that i've thus far have had poor finish and not so great choices of material quality. Titan used to have some half way decent quality, but all they have now are tools just above junk.

Both Titan and especially Great Neck have fallen in quality. For $25, i guess, they're of passable quality as a junk tool box. But, i'd rather buy something of higher quality.
