I essentially am doing what you are suggesting with regards to the steps to complete using TestComplete. The problem I have run into is I have a what is a testnode which is a click event at that point I receive a series of what looks like menu options to click on however, these options are selected with the next click event which is to select one of those options.
What I am having trouble is getting automation to recognize those options as being available to click on.
An example would be
click on textnode
options appear and are titled when I click on them either a name such paneljohndoe or janedoe etc.
Do you have away around this issue?
