There is a giant difference betwen a performance rating and an actual rating, if you have a 2900 performance rating that means you played like what a 2900 would play in that specific match but it is possible for most super grandmasters to have a 2900 performance rating in some matches or more, this video does not explain much tho

You don't fully understand how the rating system works. 2900 is inevitable it's just that it could years whoever finally does it.
